Home Staging Tips

Table Tips

How to set the stage for your home sale and an inviting space this holiday season — create the WOW factor now.

Thanks to Covid 19, we will all be doing less holiday entertaining this year, so why (take advantage of our San Diego weather and go) not try going ALL OUT  — OUTDOORS!

Whether it be a  patio table for 2 or a 6 foot long table for the closest of family members opt for soft colors and textures to create a warm and inviting holiday ambiance for family and friends then LIGHT IT UP!

Choose floor or table lamps or string lights around the perimeter, lighting sets the mood and adds an instant festive atmosphere.

Since most Thanksgiving feasts take a while, comfortable and safe seating is a must. And seating not just around the table.

Create conversation areas with 2-3 occasional chairs in different areas for guests to converse and catch up.

Candles, candles, everywhere! Tapers for a more formal setting, pillars in a variety of sizes clustered together and votives in hollowed out gourds of different shapes for side tables just pull it all together.

Set up a drink station for soft and adult beverages. (This will save lots of trips through the kitchen). With the welcoming aromas of Thanksgiving, don’t forget to set out light appetizers with the drinks.

So, no matter how you celebrate this year’s holiday season, I hope these ideas will help make your holiday entertaining as safe and enjoyable as possible. And, if you need help pulling it all together, just give Janice a call at 619-804-6473.

Helpful Tips to Sell Your House Fast

  • Declutter and depersonalize
One of the best things to do when you decide to sell your home is to go through each room and remove the clutter. Be sure to put away personal photos, jewelry and medications. Buyers need to be able to see themselves living in the space.
  • Organize
If you’re having a hard time organizing, it probably means you have too much stuff. Moving is a great time to divest yourself and your family of the things you no longer need, wear or use.
  • Invest in minor repairs
The last thing a new owner wants to do is fix things. It’s time to finish the “Honey Do” list and make life easy for your buyer.
  • Stage and add curb appeal
Having the gardener clean and add some bark and flowers can make your property shine. Remember First Impressions happen only once.
  • Pets
Our pets can sense our increased excitement and can become overly excited. Plan to remove your pet(s) for showings and open houses.
  • Resources
Stagers and agents can be great resources for preparing your home for sale. Professional house cleaners, window cleaners and gardeners are well worth the cost to help you “Get Ready for Company”.
