HERE ARE SOME TIPS FOR A FESTIVE OUTDOOR THANKSGIVING FEAST
Thanks to Covid 19, we will all be doing less holiday entertaining this year, so why (take advantage of our San Diego weather and go) not try going ALL OUT — OUTDOORS!
Whether it be a patio table for 2 or a 6 foot long table for the closest of family members opt for soft colors and textures to create a warm and inviting holiday ambiance for family and friends then LIGHT IT UP!
Choose floor or table lamps or string lights around the perimeter, lighting sets the mood and adds an instant festive atmosphere.
Since most Thanksgiving feasts take a while, comfortable and safe seating is a must. And seating not just around the table.
Create conversation areas with 2-3 occasional chairs in different areas for guests to converse and catch up.
Candles, candles, everywhere! Tapers for a more formal setting, pillars in a variety of sizes clustered together and votives in hollowed out gourds of different shapes for side tables just pull it all together.
Set up a drink station for soft and adult beverages. (This will save lots of trips through the kitchen). With the welcoming aromas of Thanksgiving, don’t forget to set out light appetizers with the drinks.
So, no matter how you celebrate this year’s holiday season, I hope these ideas will help make your holiday entertaining as safe and enjoyable as possible. And, if you need help pulling it all together, just give Janice a call at 619-804-6473.
